There is never a time or place for true love. It happens accidentally, in a heartbeat, in a single flashing, and throbbing moment.
The girl snapped a cell phone rang at the screen deafening. That name. The name that she always dreamed every night, now sweetly written there.
Full of doubt, she answered it, “Yoboseyo?”
Deg! Her heart jumped hard and then was sorely missing from her chest cavity. Numb. She could no longer feel anything presented at the time, except for the echo that entered slowly into her ear. As if the water flew through each lobe of his brain.
That call… how long she had never heard the call?
“Nnu … nuguseyo?”
“Nugu? So who call you with this name beside me?”
“Ani. I just want to be sure, Choi Seung Hyun.”
The man across the telephone was giggling. Laughter that she couldn’t forget in her lifetime. Without realizing it, she laughed. She was always smiling and laughing with him.
“It’s nice when it turns out you remember me, Eun Kyo.”
How could she forget the man who disappeared without a word for a year, after she had entrusted his heart to that person. Yes, that man disappeared without a trace after he has unconscious when she was not at his side. After slowly, he has taken that girl’s heart.
After she realized her feelings that gripped tightly to him.
Although only in silence, that girl could only love him. Although he would never know.
And now, she missed him. Really. Miss him.
“Where are you? Are you back to China since you feel sick at that time? Are you sick? Why did no one ever tell me? How are you feeling now? ”
“Gwenchana. I’m just too tired. Now I’m in Seoul. Are you still in Cheonan?”
Silence. That girl was enjoying every sound that gently caressing his ear. As if the blood was refreshed every part of his body, as if the air entered her lung cavity. That’s how he now felt toward the voice.
“Kyo Eun, saranghae…”
“Saranghae. Jeongmal saranghae. ”
“Wa … wae, Seung Hyun? Don’t want to see me first?”
“I’d better say it now, Eun Kyo. I’m afraid I don’t have time to say it. And as before, every second with you is something that I will appreciate forever…”
Yes. In love, nothing was crueller than the distance, and nothing was more false than the time. He very understood of both. How the limitations of distance and time restrictive them. Unable to say all stored in each layer of their heart.
Perhaps because too much. Or maybe because their love is too deep.
“Eh? Where do you want? You’re not—“
“Not everywhere. I’m just afraid of losing you for a second time. I don’t want to regret when I didn’t have another chance to say it. How, Eun Kyo?”
That girl blushed. How she kept thinking about it all the time. How she wanted to meet him now. How she had waited for him to say it. Even when that man disappeared without she knew where he was, she is still waiting for him. She didn’t know why.
Perhaps because the meaning of true love is not assessed in the blink of an eye.
“Nee. Na ddo saranghae.”
There always one person that will always have your heart.
